pictures-019Workshop Houston has a wide variety of volunteer opportunities, from regularly volunteering as a tutor or program assistant in the shop, to one-time group projects like block clean-ups or construction projects.

Regular Program Volunteers

The volunteers that make the most difference at Workshop Houston are those who can commit to working with students in a shop for one afternoon a week for at least a semester.   Our regular volunteers form supportive relationships with students, help them excel creatively and academically, and become a real influence in their lives.  Volunteers with skills related to the mediums of the shops are especially great to have around, though all interested in being a part of the positive peer and mentor community at Workshop Houston are very helpful.

Administrative Volunteers

Regular volunteers in the office who help with clerical and other administrative tasks are also appreciated.

One-time and Group Projects

One-time and group volunteer projects range from doing campus clean-ups and improvements to staffing parties and events or organizing a benefit.   We welcome groups who want to proactively engage in the Workshop Houston community and are excited to arrange opportunities like these for interested parties.

If you are interested in volunteering  or would like more information, please stop by, call or send us an e mail at contact@workshophouston.org
