Be a Friday Field Trip Hero!
******************************************************************************************
“The field trips I’ve been on with Workshop Houston have been awesome. We have been to the aquarium; it was cool because we were exploring wonders with different types of creatures. We have also been camping during the summer. I had to explore inside a cold cave, all scary and slippery. We also climbed the enchanted rock. The view from the top was unbelievable. I have been on so many interesting field trips and have been learning at the same time. It all happened here at Workshop Houston.” - Pedro, Workshop Houston participant, 8th grade

Every week, Workshop Houston takes students like Pedro on fun, educational trips that expose them to new places and ideas, and reinforce what they are learning in the programs and at school. We would like for you to be a part of making our weekly adventures possible! It is our goal that by the end of 2011, every student on every Friday trip has a hero who helps to send them on these tales of exploration and discovery. You can be one of these leaders: it costs only $10 to send a student out into a world of excitement! Become a field trip hero today!
Field Trip Hero
$10 sends a student on one horizon-broadening field trip!
New Adventure Champion
$40 sends a student on a whole month’s worth of exciting, educational adventures!
Exploration Defender
$160 gives a student an entire semesters worth of new experiences!
World of Wonders Warrior
$300 brings a student to new places to try new things all school year long!
Trips take students all over Houston – from museums and parks to recording studios, inspiring businesses and exotic restaurants. These experiences open young people’s eyes to different aspects of the world around them and give them a chance to have fun together as a group. All Workshop Houston’s programs are free for participants, who are middle and high school students from Houston’s Third Ward.
With your help, we can continue to offer these enriching, horizon-broadening activities to students each week. After every trip, we will be posting pictures and testimonials from students about their experiencesas well as the names of our trip heroes, on our blog and facebook. So jump in the van today and let’s go!
