Monday, April 13th, 2009Hey everyone!!! We have recently added a secton to Scholar Shop that displays some of our staff’s favorite reading selections. We love to read here at Workshop Houston and we want our students to love to read,too. With books like The Autobiography of Malcolm X , Lord of the Flies , and Harry Potter , you will definitely find something that interest you. Books are also available for check out when available.
Scholar Shop presents…Soul on Ice
Tuesday, January 6th, 2009Come join us as we read Soul on Ice by Eldridge Cleaver. Soul on Ice is a collection of autobiographical essays and notes on the black experience in the ghetto, in prison, and in the larger society. Eldridge Cleaver experiences great anguish as he constructs a philosophy capable of making sense of his life and of the inferior status of black people in America and throughout the world.
